Launch N Learn Luncheon
Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
C12 Group of Cincinnati invites you to join us for our first of three Launch N Learn luncheons being held this fall. These luncheons will focus on the issues that our members have indicated are of greatest concern to them as they seek to build GREAT businesses for a GREATER purpose. They will also serve to help LAUNCH our next C12 Group starting October 12th by allowing prospective members to engage with our group and the common challenges of growing and leading our companies for Christ.
The Topics for The First Luncheon
Developing and Promoting Culture through Succession:
Martin Newby, Newby Management/LoveServes Ministry
As most successful successions take between 7-10 years and 70% are unplanned and forced by unforeseen circumstances, Martin will be sharing how to intentionally FINISH WELL by his experience in transitioning the business as well as the ministry to the next generation.
FUN FACT: Martin was in the first meeting of the first C12 Group 25 years ago with Buck Jacobs and serves on the Board of C12 Group LLC as well as still engages as a member.

New Wage/Hour Law Regulations and Practical Scenarios:
Jeff Mullins, Esq., Taft, Stettinius and Holister LLP
This presentation will lay out the new wage/hour regulations effective Dec.1, 2016, which increase significantly the salary requirements for a “white collar” employee to be classified as exempt from overtime pay. As background to this discussion, the salary and duties tests required to be met in order to be considered an exempt employee will be discussed. Also, for employees who do not qualify for the exempt classification, i.e. non-exempt employees, the requirements relating to the following will be discussed: recordkeeping; what are considered hours worked; pay for all hours worked; and overtime pay. The presentation will end with application of these regulations to practical situations that occur in the workplace.
Jeff is one of our newest C12 Group members and provides great value around the table…….For more on Jeff, see BIO.
Format: These two sessions will be quick hitting with 20-30 minutes of presentation and 10-15 minutes of Q&A.
