  • Please describe your business here:

American Eagle Mortgage Co provides home mortgage loans for purchase & refinance in all of Ohio, providing conventional, VA, FHA, & USDA loans along with down payment assistance programs.

  • How did you come to faith in Christ? I had the privilege of growing up with Christian parents who prayed, read scripture & faithfully attended Church. I made a profession of faith in Christ in 1964 at the Billy Graham Crusade in Columbus that year. I continued to grow spiritually through College and seminary, and later having the opportunity to pastor in 2 local churches.
  • How does your faith impact the way you do business?  I believe that every believer is a minister wherever the Lord places him or her. As I am equipped to do “the work of the ministry”, I then reach the lost where the LORD had placed me, in the “marketplace”. As a result, I represent the LORD in doing the very best for the benefit of my customers. In my vocation, that means the best home loan terms possible, and even directing them to other lenders if I cannot provide them with what is best for them. Scripture tells me that I am to love my neighbor as myself, and the work I do is an expression of that love. I work “as unto the Lord”, which effects the integrity, honesty, kindness, & servanthood that reflects the character of God in all I do.
  • Please share a story where you saw God move in your business or impact a customer.

I do many loans for customers who are not able to get home loans anywhere else. One customer was buying a house after her husband passed away unexpectedly, and she needed someone to come alongside her in the loan process. She had never bought a home by herself, and her husband had handled all the finances previously. It was a very emotional process for her, but as I was able to help her get to the closing table, it was a blessing to me to be able to be Christ’s representative to her in the process, and for her to have a home where she knew that the Lord had provided this home for her.
